Land of Frankincense
For thousands of years, Omani families lived amongst Wadi Dawkah’s frankincense trees, protecting, harvesting and trading frankincense, the “Gold of the Desert”. In 2000, Wadi Dawkah’s contribution to Omani heritage, culture, and biodiversity was recognised by UNESCO.
Amouage’s stewardship of Wadi Dawkah continues this legacy, harvesting the world’s finest frankincense and building a must-see tourist destination where visitors will discover the different steps of this natural ingredient’s journey.
DISCOVER ROYAL FRANKINCENSE
As custodians of Wadi Dawkah, we seek to protect, sustain and redefine frankincense, an ancestral and emblematic natural ingredient.
A WHOLE COMMUNITY TO PROTECT THE LAND
We blend international expertise, Omani capabilities, and local community knowledge to protect and respectfully develop Wadi Dawkah.
YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO WADI DAWKAH, FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
